AAFC July Forecasts and 2018/19 Carryout Estimates
AAFC's monthly supply and demand estimates suggest that Canada's overall grain stocks will decline over the 2018/19 crop year, with the biggest drops expected for wheat and canola. Forecast yields may be overstated given references to late-June crop conditions and the decline in conditions since, while the government may be underselling Canada's export potential in light of challenges faced in global wheat crops and the growing tariff war.
