DTN COMMENTS: The country is slow to start this morning with just a few
scattered bids noted in Nebraska at this time. A light to moderate trade
developed in many areas yesterday with live business at mostly 126.00,
generally $1.00 lower than the bulk of the previous week's trade. Only a
light dressed trade was reported at 203.00-204.00, mostly 203.00 but it was
not enough of a test to assume that the trend has been set for the week.
Asking prices today are around 128.00 in the South and 205.00 plus in the
North. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower, with light to moderate box
